Full Job Description
Manager, Revenue Operations (Interim)

We are looking for a senior revenue operations professional to take ownership of the revenue operations cycle end to end during a critical integration and planning window.

The most useful way to think about this role is as a chief of staff to the Head of Revenue Operations. You will not own the function, but you will be senior enough to sit alongside the person who does: setting your own scope, running workstreams to completion, and representing revenue operations credibly in front of senior executives.

The environment is a $1BN+ software business integrating a transformative $80M+ acquisition while running its 2027 budget and go-to-market planning cycle. You will operate across multiple revenue-generating business units, partnering directly with the VP of RevOps and Chief Customer Officer.

Engagement Details

Duration: ~6 months (through end of 2026 and early Q1 2027)

Capacity: Full-time, 5 days per week, independent contract

Location: US-based required. Fully remote, working East/Central time zone hours alongside UK partners. No on-site requirement.

Reports to: VP of Revenue Operations

Key Priorities
  • Take ownership of the revenue operations cycle end to end, from planning through execution and reporting, across multiple business units.
  • Independently define scope and execute against it. You will take direction on outcomes from the VP of RevOps, then structure the work, sequence it and deliver it without needing a blueprint handed to you.
  • Act as a trusted thought partner to the VP of RevOps and Chief Customer Officer, and represent revenue operations credibly with senior executives across Finance, Marketing and the business units.
  • Own the reporting and dashboard layer: build and maintain the dashboards leadership relies on, and make sure the numbers behind them hold up.
  • Drive core revenue operations activities through the 2027 budget and go-to-market planning cycle.
  • Support integration of a transformative $80M+ acquisition (acquired March 2026, target full integration by January 2027) and GTM team consolidation across business units.
  • Own the fundamentals end to end: territory design and account routing, Salesforce data enrichment and list-building, customer segmentation, annual sales planning, and pipeline/forecasting infrastructure across a fragmented multi-instance systems environment. You will design the approach and drive it to completion, working hands-on in the systems where that is the fastest route.
  • Hunt for friction slowing the sales teams down and build the fix, not just the diagnosis: territory coverage gaps, lead routing inefficiencies, CRM data integrity issues, forecasting inaccuracies.
  • Manage stakeholders across Finance/FP&A on KPIs and dashboards, Marketing on demand generation priorities, and Enterprise Systems on infrastructure and tool rationalisation, without formal authority over any of them.
Required Qualifications
  • Seniority and executive presence. Demonstrated ability to interact comfortably and credibly with senior executives at a $1BN-scale software company; able to bring insight to the conversation, not just status.
  • Proven Revenue/Sales Operations experience in B2B SaaS, PE-backed environments, or scaled organisations, or equivalent strategy consulting experience serving them.
  • End-to-end ownership. Track record of being given a problem rather than a task list, defining the scope yourself, and returning with a structured plan and a delivered outcome.
  • Salesforce power user. Ability to own CRM data integrity end-to-end, perform basic administration, and troubleshoot configurations in messy legacy instances.
  • HubSpot experience. Hands-on familiarity with HubSpot alongside Salesforce; both are in active use across the business.
  • CPQ experience. Hands-on with Salesforce CPQ or an equivalent quote-to-cash configuration; able to work through pricing, product and quoting structures and their downstream reporting impact.
  • Multi-SFDC instance and post-acquisition integration experience. Direct exposure to consolidating or integrating CRM environments following an acquisition.
  • Dashboarding and reporting ownership. Demonstrated ownership of executive-facing dashboards in Tableau, Looker or Power BI, from data model through to what leadership actually reads.
  • Strong data analytics. Strong SQL, not just foundational. Mastery of Excel and Google Sheets for analysis and reporting.
  • Super-user proficiency with Gong for forecasting and call intelligence; able to extract insight and drive execution from it.
  • Owner mentality and AI-first bias. Already using AI tools actively to speed up analysis, build automations and eliminate manual work.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with Sugar CRM, used by international business units.
  • Background as a first RevOps hire or early-stage revenue operations builder at a Series B/C company; experience standing up revenue operations from the ground up in a resource-constrained environment while building for scale.
  • Experience supporting a business through a budget and GTM planning cycle in a multi-business-unit structure.
What This Role Is Not
  • An individual contributor executing against someone else's task list. This person defines their own scope.
  • The Head of Revenue Operations. This role supports and partners with the VP of RevOps rather than owning the function.
  • A standard Salesforce administrator.
  • A pure data analyst with no systems ownership.
  • A strategist who advises without touching the system. This role is a combination of RevOps strategy, data and analytics, and hands-on Salesforce/CPQ execution.
