Job Title: Revenue Operations Adviser, ROPS (Professional Level 1)

Position SummaryThe Revenue Operations Adviser serves as a strategic link between high-level initiatives and operational execution. Stepping beyond immediate triage, this role synthesizes complex behaviors into scalable workflows. The Adviser is responsible for validating solutions, managing project logistics, and translating strategic plans into effective operational realities. Teammates in this role specialize in a particular area of operations, which could include but is not limited to System Optimization, Quality/Audit/Risk, Payer Intelligence, or Digital Workflow, acting as the primary operational resource to drive consensus and successfully roll out new initiatives within their specific domain.
Core Responsibilities - Project Coordination & Governance: Serve as the primary liaison between ROPS, Field Operations, and external vendors. Maintain comprehensive project tracking logs, anticipate scheduling conflicts, and manage formal project documentation (Charters, Risk Registers).
- Operational Validation & Risk Analysis: Review proposed system configurations against complex operational scenarios. Develop and execute detailed test cases based on real-world accounts to validate that system logic solves the actual business problem.
- Process Deployment & Translation: Translate technical requirements into clear operational terms ("what," "how," and "why"). Author user-friendly SOPs and provide direct support during launch phases to troubleshoot unforeseen issues in real-time.
- Stakeholder Management & Consensus: Employ influence without direct authority to motivate teams and drive consensus on key decisions, skillfully negotiating and resolving conflicts among stakeholders.
Specialized Focus Area (Teammate will own ONE of the following):- System Optimization SME: Design and enhance system rules (e.g., eligibility, billing setup) to reduce manual decision-making; translate technical release notes into operational realities.
- Quality, Audit & Risk SME: Manage the execution of risk assessments, ensure adherence to SLA standards for audits, and advise leaders on operational responses to compliance findings.
- Payer Intelligence SME: Anticipate shifts in payer behavior, proactively design workflow changes to address regulatory updates, and educate the floor on evolving payer rules.
- Digital Workflow SME: Translate the behavior of automated models and AI agents into clear user guidelines, ensuring the team successfully adopts and works alongside new digital tools.
Minimum Qualifications & Competencies- Experience: 5+ years of professional experience, including at least 3 years in Revenue Operations resolving high-complexity accounts, system implementation, or process improvement.
- RCM & Regulatory Mastery: Expert knowledge of the end-to-end revenue cycle and major payer regulations (Commercial, Medicare, Medicaid, HIPAA, No Surprises Act).
- Systems & Technical Skills: Deep working knowledge of core systems (e.g., Nautilus, Reggie, Oliver). Basic proficiency in data analysis using SQL, Excel, and/or Tableau is preferred.
- Strategic Thinking & Problem Solving: Strong critical thinking skills to diagnose root causes of execution issues, understand upstream drivers, and propose viable solutions.
Communication & Collaboration: Exceptional ability to distill complex information into actionable messages and build trust across diverse functions
