SUMMARY The Career-Level Revenue Accountant is responsible for managing end-to-end revenue accounting processes, including revenue recognition, billing, collections, and reporting. This role ensures compliance with GAAP, supports internal and external audits, and contributes to the continuous improvement of revenue operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES • Manage full-cycle revenue accounting and billing processes for assigned accounts • Review and analyze customer contracts for accurate revenue recognition • Research and resolve complex discrepancies or exceptions in revenue transactions • Provide monthly revenue reporting and variance analysis • Act as a key contact for internal teams and external auditors on revenue matters • Identify and implement improvements to billing systems and processes • Maintain and enforce internal controls related to the revenue cycle • Train and mentor junior accounting staff as needed EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE • Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and a minimum of 5 years of related experience; or an advanced degree with 3+ years of experience; or equivalent related work experience • Strong understanding of ASC 606 and revenue recognition for SaaS contracts • Advanced Excel skills, including model creation and large dataset analysis • Experience with systems like NetSuite, Host Analytics, or Salesforce • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and resolve complex issues • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment
