Role Description & Responsibilities: As a Revenue Accountant, you will play a key role in ensuring accurate revenue recognition, financial reporting and oversight of billing activities, while supporting the continued evolution of Dassault Systèmes' revenue accounting function.
- Oversee billing plans and invoicing activities to ensure customer invoices are accurately processed, issued and documented, working closely with the billing team in India as operational billing activities continue to transition.
- Partner with Sales, Collections, Sales Administration and other Finance teams to resolve billing, contract adjustment and customer claim matters efficiently and professionally.
- Prepare and review revenue accounting adjustments and journal entries, in accordance with Dassault Systèmes revenue recognition policies, IFRS 15 and ASC 606 requirements.
- Own key monthly and quarterly closing activities, including reconciliations of Deferred Revenue, Unbilled Accounts Receivable, VAR Bonus accruals and related revenue accounts.
- Support quarterly working capital analysis by reviewing and explaining changes in Deferred Revenue and Unbilled Accounts Receivable positions, including month-over-month, year-over-year and other relevant variance analysis.
- Support internal and external audit activities, including preparation of supporting documentation, responses to audit requests and year-end financial reporting requirements. Contribute to the SAP ERP implementation, strengthen internal controls and drive continuous improvement across revenue accounting and Order-to-Cash processes.
Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in revenue accounting or financial accounting, ideally within the software industry and with exposure to IFRS 15 and/or ASC 606.
- Experience working with integrated ERP systems, particularly SAP or PeopleSoft, combined with strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel.
- Strong analytical, critical-thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial, contractual and accounting information and explain key financial variances.
- Proactive, well-organized and autonomous, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively both independently and within an international team environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence and professionalism required to collaborate across Finance, Sales and other business functions.
Compensation:The expected base salary range for this position is $102,000-$121,000 per year. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as experience, skills, qualifications, geographic location and other job-related considerations. Salary Pay Transparency
Compensation for the role will be commensurate with experience. The total expected compensation range will be between $80000 and $130000, representing the base salary (or annualized salary based on estimated hourly compensation) and target bonus.
