Position Overview

The Illinois Department of Children and Family Services is seeking an organized, professional, and results oriented individual to serve as a Residential Monitoring Supervisor. Essential Functions

  • Serves as Residential Monitoring Supervisor
  • Serves as full line supervisor of subordinate staff
  • Provides high level consultation and professional technical assistance to subordinate staff regarding staffings, including pre-admission staffing and emergency situations
  • Provides final analysis and review of length of stay data and discharge patterns, as well as client progress data from the Northwestern University Outcome Goals system, including discharge planning and achievement of stepdown plans
  • Provides administrative direction to clinical staffings for cases that are troubled and not making acceptable progress
  • In consultation and coordination with program administration, provides input into the development and implementation of a team-based program of staff development and training for subordinate staff
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above


Minimum Qualifications

  • Requires an MSW or master's degree in a related human services field.
  • Requires three years of child welfare direct service administrative experience.


Preferred Qualifications

  • 3 years of professional experience conducting program monitoring activities in a public or business organization.
  • 3 years of professional management experience in a public or business organization.
  • 3 years of experience supervising professional staff.
  • 3 years of professional experience conducting analysis of complex data in a public or business organization.
  • 3 years of professional experience in the development of corrective action plans.
