Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field; Master's Degree preferred.
• Field experience in bridge inspection and highway/roadway projects, including office engineering background.
• Experience in Building and Roadway Construction Management.
• Familiarity with IDOT, CDOT, Tollway, and related agency systems and operations.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking ability.

Responsibilities

• Manage construction engineering projects from start to finish.
• Utilize resource groups for preparing estimates and construction documents.
• Plan, schedule, and coordinate all project phases.
• Provide construction oversight or manage daily project activities as needed.
• Act as the main contact with clients and their representatives.
• Conduct local, county, state, and federal project code searches and analyses.
• Assist in preparing proposals to secure new contracts.
• Mentor and train staff to cultivate leadership within the department.
