Essential Duties:

  • Perform audits, over-inspections, time studies, and process review; evaluate and track corrective and preventive actions for manufacturing and process issues.
  • Support BPMI engineering and program management activities, including review of vendor submittals, risk mitigation, process improvements, evaluation of vendor cause and corrective actions, and problem resolution.
  • Analyze manufacturing progress against contract milestones and schedules; assess delays, bottlenecks, and constraints; and work with suppliers and BPMI personnel to meet program objectives.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and other BPMI or Program stakeholders to conduct assessments of critical sub tier suppliers, evaluate their processes and controls, and resolve issues.
  • Independently assess vendor performance metrics and identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvements.
  • Communicate status updates to management and document key oversight activities with stakeholders.
  • Obtain and maintain necessary qualifications to fulfill assigned duties.
  • The essential duties identified are representative but are not intended to be an exhaustive or inclusive list of all the responsibilities of the position.

  • Career advancement and professional development programs.

Minimum Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Civil, or related technical degree, from an accredited college or university.
  • A minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience.
  • Ten (10) or more years of completed education and/or relevant experience may be considered to satisfy educational and years of experience requirements.
  • Requires a security clearance; however, all qualified candidates will be considered regardless of their current clearance status. The ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy security clearance is required.

Preferred Job Requirements:

  • Minimum GPA of 3.0 is preferred for recent college graduates.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Outlook, etc.) and other commonly used business applications or role specific applications.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills - including effective technical writing skills.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment, with strong attention to detail and deadlines. Committed to maintaining high standards of quality.
