RESEARCH SCIENTIST, Center for Transportation & Logistics (CTL) - Intelligent Logistics Systems (ILS) Lab , will conduct and lead sponsored research; develop research proposals; collaborate with industry, government, and academic partners; publish findings in peer-reviewed journals; mentor graduate students; contribute to executive and graduate-level teaching; participate in conferences and professional activities; and support the strategic growth of the ILS Lab and CTL's broader research mission. Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed. The ILS Lab develops innovative methods at the intersection of operations research, artificial intelligence, and machine learning to address complex supply chain, logistics, and transportation challenges.

Job Requirements
REQUIRED : Ph.D. in Operations Research, Transportation, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related field; a minimum of four years of relevant research or industry experience; demonstrated record of scholarly publications and research excellence; experience developing research proposals and securing sponsored research funding; strong written, verbal, and presentation skills; and ability to collaborate effectively with academic, industry, and government partners. PREFERRED : Expertise in operations research, artificial intelligence, machine learning, or optimization applied to logistics, transportation, or supply chain management; experience mentoring graduate students; experience teaching graduate or executive education courses; and demonstrated ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative research environment.
