Full Job Description
Department of Cell Biology is looking for a Research Scientist to work alongside Dr. Amy Gladfelter in research projects.

Minimum Requirements:

Min Degree Requirements: Ph.D. or equivalent doctorate (e.g. Sc.D., M.D., D.V.M.).
Other Credential/Experiential Requirements: 5 + years of postdoctoral experience conducting scientific research. Multiple publications and notable significant contributions to scientific research.

This position is
  • Onsite. The work is performed on-site or at a designated assignment location.


This position will involve generating fungal strains, designing and performing experiments using genetics, microscopy, and biochemical approaches, data analysis, drafting of manuscripts and papers. In addition the position will involve mentoring undergraduates and graduate students, orienting new lab members to lab procedures, maintaining equipment, supporting in ordering, maintaining the chemical inventory and health and safety compliance.
