Research Medication Pharmacist - Full-time

Position Highlights:

Nebraska Medicine is now taking applications for a talented individual to join us as a Research Medication Pharmacist.

Shift:

  • 40 hrs./week / Full-Time / Benefits Eligible

  • Mon- Fri /8:00 AM - 4:30 PM / First Shift

  • Location: Durham Outpatient Center, Omaha NE

Research Medication Pharmacist Description:
Cooperate in planning, implementing, and providing all pharmacy services related to research medications that are used in clinical trials throughout the enterprise. Provide the highest quality patient care. Seek out customer requirements and meet them. Work as a member of a team to provide effective service to customers. Demonstrate by actions and decisions a dedication to continual and constant quality improvement.

Required Qualifications:

  • Graduate from an Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE)-accredited Doctor of Pharmacy degree program OR possess a Bachelor or Master of pharmacy degree with 10 years of experience required.

  • Possess a working knowledge of basic windows applications and department/campus software programs required.

  • Experience with typical office equipment (e.g., computers, calculators).

  • Ability to dispense cabinets (e.g., PYXIS) required.

  • Experience with various computerized and mechanical devices necessary for product preparation and dispensing (e.g.,micromix, web site resources, general compounding, laminar air flow hoods, safety cabinets, etc.) required.

  • Nebraska Pharmacy License required.

  • Licensed in the state of Nebraska or jurisdiction in which pharmacy practice is conducted upon start or transfer required.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with research protocols preferred.

  • American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) accredited postgraduate year one residency preferred.

  • Board of Pharmaceutical Specialties (BPS) certification as deemed appropriate and relevant to practice preferred.
