Job Description

The Research Manager oversees research projects within the Center for Child Health Services Research. This individual assists the Center Director in all center research activities, including but not limited to assisting in regulatory compliance, contracting, writing and submitting research grants and manuscripts, pre and post-award grants management, and coordinating relationships with outside organizations.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with members of the research team in project development and the planning and delivery of optimal Center operations.
  • Facilitates timely and responsive communication and proactive responsible decision making.
  • Participates in the development and implementation of policies, systems, and protocols associated with new and ongoing research and Center activities.
  • Manage research projects for faculty in the Center, including applications to institutional review boards (IRB), execution of data use agreements and contracts, team communications, meeting coordination and preparation of data output.
  • Identifies, responds to, and, if necessary, escalates potential and actual risk management issues.
  • Assists in writing and submitting research grants and manuscripts.
  • Assists with pre and post award grants management.
  • Performs other related duties.


Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree (Masters preferred) in sciences or related degree
  • 5 years experience in a hospital/medical environment and 1 year supervisory
