Working closely with research leaders, analysts, and designers, you'll help transform research findings into clear, compelling stories and communications campaigns that reach internal and external audiences. You'll serve as a thought partner throughout the process-helping refine messages, identify opportunities, develop content, and guide projects from early ideas through launch.

The ideal candidate is a strong communicator who enjoys connecting the dots between research, storytelling, and execution. One day you might be helping a research lead shape the narrative for a new report; the next, you might be editing content, coordinating reviews, managing timelines, or planning how findings will be shared across channels.

Research Communications & Campaign Management

  • Lead communications planning and execution for IP and grants deliverables
  • Manage integrated communications workstreams that span across editorial, design, web, social media, and presentation materials
  • Coordinate production schedules and deliverables
  • Ensure communications outputs are delivered on time, on brand, and aligned with Institute priorities
  • Work with GRI leadership to identify opportunities to expand the visibility and impact of research

Editorial Development & Content Production

  • Collaborate with research leads and analytics team to translate research into clear, compelling narratives for external and internal audiences
  • Develop, write, and edit content across multiple formats, including reports, blogs, presentations, LinkedIn newsletter, web copy, internal communications, and campaign materials
  • Work w/ external writers, proofreaders, or creative contributors when needed
  • Coordinate with design teams on asset development, reviews, approvals, and production timelines

Operational Support

  • Build and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, and workflows in Asana
  • Contribute to annual communications planning, editorial calendars, and strategic initiatives across Institute research centers

Your Qualifications
  • 3-5 years of relevant professional experience working in a writing, editorial, publications or other relevant role.
  • Excellent writing/editorial and verbal communications skills-writing samples required, showing ability to interpret research and present in accessible, engaging ways.
  • Experience working on an integrated editorial and graphics team, with an understanding of print and online publication processes.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Knowledge of Adobe InDesign required (InCopy, Photoshop, Illustrator a plus).
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to multi-task and prioritize.
  • Must be organized, efficient and enjoy working with a team.
  • Ability to communicate and interact effectively with all levels of leadership.

**The base for this role is estimated to be between $80,000-$85,000 plus bonuses and benefits and contingent on relevant experience**
