Full Job Description
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Leads Large Power Systems Rental projects to ensure overall project and organizational profitability and customer satisfaction from inception of Rental to completion of project.
• Receives Rental Quote from Power Systems Rental Sales Representative and works closely with the Rental Coordinator. Starts the project management process upon receipt of purchase order from customer. Participates in pre-contract discussions.
• Reviews Rental contracts to ensure correctness of technical specifications and appropriateness of commercial terms. Provides other technical support and work/cost estimates as may be required.
• Meets and confers with customer's agents as needed or required.
• Prepares Technical data; communicates with customer's engineering staff on technical questions.
• Selects vendors and issues purchase orders based on quality, compliance with customer's specifications, price and availability. Develop relationship with vendors to provide customers with the best deliverables at the best price.
• Coordinates materials delivery and production scheduling; expedites as needed to meet schedules; arranges for shipment.
• Ensures quality control; initiates inspections, arranges for shop test, site tests and training as needed.
• Completes customer punch list and required Cat or other vendor paperwork. Holds final customer meeting and ensures no outstanding issues.
• Closes out projects, including cost/profit calculations and invoice preparation. Responsible for realizing/improving on original gross profit estimate. Audits project results and manages accountability.
• Assist in Busy Seasonal Rental periods.
• Builds successful/cohesive project teams through communication with customers and Western States' resources.
• Serves as a resource to all areas of the business in response to PS Rental needs.
• Keeps current on relevant engineering technology and company policies and procedures; encourage and participate in the development of cost improvements.
• Adheres to all customer care standards.
• Actively cares and advocates safety at Western States. Adheres to all applicable safety policies, procedures and standards.
• Serves as a team member in support of Western States' strategic programs, projects, and initiatives.
• Works within and promotes corporate vision, mission, and values of the organization.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES
• Power Generation Technical Background desired.
• Ability to Troubleshoot
• Organizational Skills
• Ability to read a one-line drawing
• Ability to size and calculate generators and cable quantities
• Knowledge of Microsoft computer products or other comparable systems.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and writing skills required.
• Proven skills in facilitation, negotiation, team development, communication, data analysis, and change management.
• Self-motivated, results oriented change agent who is an effective business systems thinker.
• Ability to manage risk and ambiguity on a project.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others to include customers, vendors, employees and the public.
• Consistent attendance.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field or minimum of 4 years' experience in Electric Power Generation industry preferred.
• Minimum one-year prior experience working with standby and prime power electric power generation systems required.
• Project Management experience preferred.
• Must be able to communicate (speak, read, comprehend, write in English).
PHYSICAL CHARACTERISTICS
• Must be able by means of manual dexterity to use a computer and a phone efficiently.
• Must be able to sit for long periods of time along with walking, standing, climbing stairs, reaching pushing, pulling, leaning and twisting.
• Must be able to meet all safety requirements for applicable safety policies.
