OverviewThe
Remote Manager, Subcontractor Services is responsible for leading the subcontractor management function and overseeing the full lifecycle of subcontractor engagement across the United States. This role is accountable for vendor sourcing, qualification, onboarding, contract administration, compliance management, insurance and licensing verification, performance management, and subcontractor documentation governance. Candidates with an established network of low-voltage contractors are highly preferred.
ResponsibilitiesKey Responsibilities- Lead and develop a small to medium-sized team responsible for subcontractor services, compliance, and vendor administration.
- Develop and maintain a nationwide network of qualified subcontractors and identify vendors across all regions of the United States.
- Vet subcontractor qualifications, capabilities, financial stability, references, certifications, safety records, and operational capacity.
- Oversee subcontractor onboarding processes and ensure completion of all required documentation.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing structures, Terms & Conditions, service level agreements, and payment terms.
- Manage Certificates of Insurance (COIs) and verify required insurance coverage, limits, endorsements, and policy types.
- Ensure compliance with insurance requirements established by customer and prime contractor agreements.
- Track insurance expiration dates and coordinate timely renewals for continued compliance.
- Verify and maintain required state, county, municipal, and trade-specific licenses.
- Track license expiration dates and renewal requirements across multiple jurisdictions.
- Maintain subcontractor records including agreements, W-9s, COIs, licenses, certifications, NDAs, and onboarding documents.
- Conduct subcontractor performance reviews and manage corrective action initiatives when necessary.
QualificationsRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
Minimum 3 years of experience leading small to medium-sized teams.
At least 5 years of experience in subcontractor management, vendor management, procurement, supplier compliance, or contract administration.
Demonstrated experience negotiating contract terms and conditions, payment terms, insurance requirements, and licensing requirements.
Strong understanding of COI management, contractor compliance, and documentation governance.
Excellent communication, negotiation, organizational, and relationship management skills.
Preferred QualificationsExisting network of low-voltage, structured cabling, telecommunications, or technology services contractors across the United States.
Experience supporting national deployment, telecommunications, security, AV, or low-voltage programs.
Experience with contractor management, procurement, ERP, or compliance platforms.
