Position OverviewWe are seeking a skilled Lead DevOps Engineer to oversee our development and operations teams, streamline our software development lifecycle, and ensure the reliability and performance of our applications. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in cloud technologies and a strong leadership background to drive initiatives in automation and continuous integration.
Compensation: Up to $180k CAD base salary DOE
Key Responsibilities- Lead and mentor the DevOps team in best practices and tool usage.
- Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub and GitLab.
- Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure on AWS, ensuring scalability and availability.
- Oversee container orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Implement monitoring and logging solutions with Grafana, Prometheus, and OpenTelemetry.
- Collaborate with development teams to improve deployment processes and reduce downtime.
- Ensure security best practices are followed in the development and deployment processes.
- Utilize GitOps methodologies to streamline operations.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in DevOps or a related role with a focus on cloud environments.
- Proficiency in AWS and container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Strong experience with CI/CD tools, particularly GitHub and GitLab.
- Knowledge of monitoring and observability tools like Grafana and Prometheus.
- Experience with GitOps principles and practices.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
