Job Description
As a Reliability Engineer you will work within an integrated product development environment along with many engineering fields to ensure that product designs meet customer reliability, Built In Test (BIT), availability, service life and reliability growth requirements.
In this role you will support the Specialty Engineering Team and your responsibilities may include:
• Supporting efforts in the areas of reliability, maintainability, availability, testability and reliability growth; providing reliability allocations, reliability analysis, BIT analysis; Failure Mode, Effects & Criticality Analysis (FMECA); reliability critical items, reliability growth planning; Failure Reporting Analysis and Corrective Action System (FRACAS)
• Performing Reliability and/or Anomaly Detection & Resolution (ADR) / Fault Management analysis
• Working closely with subject matter authorities in various areas, performing analyses at all levels of the total system product over its life cycle to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal
• Working with Statements of Work (SOWs) and System Specifications to ensure the logical and detailed conversion of customer or product requirements into total system solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints
• Assisting with technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems
Basic Qualifications
Understanding of one or more of the following:
a.) Mathematical modeling
b.) Statistical analysis
c.) Electrical circuit design
d.) Environmental effects on performance
** US Citizenship with the willingness/ability to obtain/maintain a Secret security clearance**
Desired skills
• Coursework in college level courses related to the following desired degrees - Mathematics, Operations Research, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Physics
• Proficiency in mathematical modeling, statistical analysis, electrical circuit design, and environmental effects on performance
• Missile or space segment design and test experience with subsystems or fields outside of Systems Engineering
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills, strong social skills, and ability to build solid relationships with team members
• Familiarity with: Reliability HDBKS and Standards i.e.; MIL-HDBK-217, Milt-STD-1629, MIL-STD-1543, MILHDBK-338, MIL-HDBK-472, the application of probability and statistics to support decisions regarding sample size, burn-in life testing and failure analysis investigations
• Active or Current Secret clearance
Work Schedule Information
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
National Pay Statement
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $70,100 - $123,625. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

Premium Pay Statement
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York is $80,600 - $139,840. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
