Job Description:

General Description:

Supports the Indorama Ventures Xylenes & PTA site as an equipment subject matter expert through general and predictive maintenance support while driving reliability and cost improvements

Roles and Responsibilities

  1. Supports maintenance and reliability strategy through management of repair and replacement activities.

Develops and implements preventive and predictive maintenance programs
    1. Writes Preventive Maintenance (PM) and Predictive Maintenance (PdM) procedures
    2. Monitors equipment performance and repairs
    3. Recommends improvements to enhance equipment performance
    4. Coordinates equipment repairs and replacements with units

and outside services
    1. Prepares and/or approves maintenance work processes


  1. Provides technical support for equipment repairs and replacements
    1. Reviews and approves drawings for modifications
    2. Reviews procedures for conformance to code
    3. Selects equipment for replacement
    4. Schedules equipment commissioning


  1. Assist maintenance teams.
    1. Report maintenance metrics
    2. Technical assistance to Foremen and mechanics
    3. Provides training and development to mechanics
    4. Assist with job risk assessments
    5. Accountable for documenting and maintaining equipment repair results for pumps, compressors, centrifuges and agitators
    6. Track maintenance cost
    7. Support maintenance budgeting process


  1. Assumes responsibility for related duties as required or assigned.
    1. Maintains a clean and well organized work area
    2. Attends meetings as required
    3. Attends training as required
    4. Complies with all HSSE programs, policies and procedures
    5. Performs special projects and miscellaneous duties as assigned

Experience:

Education/Experience/Certifications Required:

  • BS degree in Engineering with a minimum of 6 years of mechanical manufacturing equipment, systems and processes
  • Working knowledge of local, state and federal safety and environmental regulations
  • Basic PC skills
  • Effective oral and written communications skills, strong interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of unit operations
  • Thorough knowledge of maintenance and reliability processes
  • Knowledge of construction standards and codes


Education/Experience/Certifications Preferred:

  • Knowledge of ASME Piping and Pressure Vessel Codes
  • Experience with API Inspection Codes
  • Experience with fabrication and repair of fixed equipment
  • Welding knowledge
  • Working with process units and process equipment including rotating equipment
  • Experience with inspection and engineering design software
