Full Job Description
Accenture Federal Services is seeking an experienced Release Train Engineer to join our team and support our client in the Northern VA area. The Release Train Engineer role requires dedicated and specialized support to accelerate Research, Development, Test, and Evaluation (RDT&E) efforts, advanced cloud modernization initiatives, and ensure the successful deployment of critical capabilities to a diverse national security customer base. What you'll do: - Agile Program Increment (PI) Planning: Facilitate targeted and effective PI planning sessions to drive alignment and ensure iterative, continuous delivery of mission-critical capabilities - Requirements Gathering and Prioritization: Engage with stakeholders to elicit, refine, and prioritize requirements that align with Platform objectives and customer-specific needs - Roadmap Development: Collaborate with leadership and stakeholders to define and maintain strategic roadmaps for RDT&E, cloud modernization, and capability deployment initiatives - Stakeholder-Focused Collaboration: Provide tailored support to ensure alignment and coordination across diverse customers and stakeholders to foster effective communication and partnerships - Ensure timely and accurate completion of required deliverables, such as PI Planning Artifacts, Requirements Traceability Matrixes, Risk Registers, and Capability Roadmaps - Collaborate with and advise leadership on the development of the Agile transformation strategy and provide feedback and recommendations to ensure completion of strategic goals as required - Work with teams to establish and maintain Agile metrics, including velocity, and burn-down charts - Leverage expertise in Atlassian digital tools (Jira & Confluence) to make work visible and enhance transparency across the enterprise - Ensure teams are following best practices and industry standards for Agile development - Establish governance structures, collect metrics, and use feedback for improvement Here is what you need: - 7 years of experience working in an Agile environment, preferably in a role supporting Scrum teams - 5 years of facilitating meetings and workshops, and articulating complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders - 5 years of Agile & SAFe Expertise: Deep understanding of SAFe, Scrum, Kanban, Lean, etc. - 5 years leading government and other key stakeholders through focused PI Planning efforts - Experience with Agile/SAFe tools (e.g., Confluence, Jira, etc.) - Certification in SAFe Agilist (SA), Scaled Agile Leader (SAL), Release Train Engineer (RTE), Scrum Master (CSM), CSPO, or CSP Bonus Points if you have: - Relevant Associate's or Bachelor's Degree or have additional supporting certifications - Leadership & Coaching experience: Ability to lead, motivate, and coach distributed teams - Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and conflict resolution skills - Communication: Clear, transparent communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders - Process & Compliance Knowledge: Familiarity with compliance, risk management, and governance frameworks - Experience with Agile scaling frameworks (SAFe, LeSS, Scrum @ Scale) - Experience with implementing Atlassian digital tools (Jira & Confluence) in a manner that supports a scaled Agile transformation - An in-depth understanding of the Objectives and Key Results (OKR) framework, and experience in integrating OKRs into Agile planning cycles - Knowledge of IT service management frameworks, including ITIL - DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification or higher (Sec+, CISSP, CASP, etc.) or DoD 8140 equivalent Clearance: Must have an active Top Secret level clearance As required by local law, Accenture Federal Services provides reasonable ranges of compensation for hired roles based on labor costs in the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, and the District of Columbia, and the city of Cleveland. The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below. Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
