We are seeking a
Relationship ManagerIII to join our Berks County lending team.
Responsibilities - Relationship management of a commercial portfolio including the formulation and implementation of a plan for portfolio growth.
- Ultimately, the relationship manager will be expected to build a trusted, capable, and assured relationship with clients by having the capability and authority to provide financial solutions for life.
- Cross-sell other bank services by partnering with other areas of the bank to enhance the overall marketing effort of the corporation.
- Manage relationships and submit loan requests for underwriting and approval. Gather all pre-closing requirements, review commercial loan documentation, and attend loan settlements.
- Accountable for developing new prospects and obtaining new clients for Univest.
- Establish and negotiate within loan policy and procedure the terms under which credit will be extended to qualified customers including interest rate repayment method and collateral requirements.
- Increase visibility in the bank's sales and marketing area by participating in business service and other non-profit community organizations.
- Potential supervisory duties of non-sales roles. Accountable for coaching and developing a staff.
Qualifications - Communication/Relationship-Builder: Excellent social and communication skills. Customer-focused with strong knowledge of credit banking and investment products & processes. Ability to effectively communicate across all levels of the organization.
- Goal-Oriented: Ability to cross-sell products along with proven sales and product expertise with business clients. Excellent negotiation skills and ability to negotiate within Commercial Lending Policy.
- Relationship-Management: Strong organization in managing a commercial lending portfolio including loan origination and portfolio management. Manage risk within portfolio including loan risk ratings and loan pricing.
- Financial evaluation: Ability to self-reliantly assess customer's financial information to ascertain repayment capacity, collateral coverage, and strength of balance sheet. Assuredly create a finance offering based on financial performance and customer's request.
- Self-Management: Maintains composure in high-pressure situations. Ability to handle most problems/exceptions in a self-reliant manner. Strong community involvement in geographic area.
- Guidance: Ability to align goals for performance with the vision of the organization and monitor productivity. Develop employees through coaching using positive and constructive feedback. Conduct timely performance evaluations.
- Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent experience in related area.
- Software Proficiency: Microsoft Office specifically Word Excel Outlook OneNote PowerPoint and SharePoint.
