We are looking for an Advisor, FERC Compliance, who will support the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) Natural Gas Compliance program and help drive consistent, organization-wide understanding of regulatory requirements.

What You Will Do:
  • Foster a strong compliance culture by encouraging open dialogue, reinforcing expectations, and creating a safe space for questions and transparency.
  • Conduct compliance reviews and coordinate activities with cross-functional partners.
  • Prepare clear, concise reports and communicate findings to senior leadership.
  • Support FERC audit activities and maintain strong relationships with internal partners and regulators.
  • Provide practical guidance on regulatory requirements, controls, documentation, and risk mitigation.
  • Design and deliver training sessions and awareness programs to strengthen compliance knowledge.
  • Find opportunities to streamline processes, leverage technology, and improve consistency across business units.
  • Contribute to risk assessments by identifying gaps, assessing impacts, and supporting improvement initiatives.


Who You Are:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field along with a minimum of 4 years of experience in compliance, audit, or regulated environments, or familiarity with FERC-regulated natural gas assets and tariffs.
  • Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills with sound judgment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with partners at all levels.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
  • Demonstrated initiative, curiosity, and persistence in solving complex issues.
  • Proficient in written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.


Preferred:
  • Experience in the energy or FERC-regulated industry.
  • Knowledge of FERC reporting, the Uniform System of Accounts, and audit methodologies.
  • Experience supporting compliance reviews or audits.
  • Professional certification or working toward one is an asset.


Working Conditions:
  • Hybrid work model.
  • Standard workweek with occasional extended hours as needed.
  • Up to 10% travel across North America.


Physical Requirements include but are not limited to:

Grasping, kneeling, light - moderate lifting (objects up to 20 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, typing, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement and the ability to sit at a computer for long periods of time.

Ability to: understand, remember and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information, understand complex problems and collaborate/explore alternative solutions, organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology, organize and prioritize work schedule on a short-term basis, make decisions which have moderate impact on the immediate work unit and monitor impact outside this area, understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines, complete routine forms, compose letters, outlines, memoranda and basic reports and communicate with individuals via telephone.
