Registered Nurse - Transplant Coordinator

Full Time, Day Shift

Exempt

The Solid Organ Transplant Coordinator is a registered nurse who plans, coordinates and implements the care of the solid organ transplant patient and living donor as applicable in both the in-patient and out-patient settings in accordance with the nursing process. The scope of the role includes acting as liaison with the organ procurement organization and the OPTN, assesses human, financial and material resources of patients and families; coordinates information flow among medical, ancillary, nursing, financial and insurance company staff; represents the transplant program through involvement in hospital and community activities; participates in the development and maintenance of the transplant statistical database. Employee will recognize the population specific needs of the transplant patient and apply the appropriate knowledge, skills and behaviors to meet those needs when performing patient activities

What qualifications you will need:
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support required
  • (RN) Registered Nurse Texas or compact license required
  • Bachelors Degree, or Associate Degree required
  • 1 year experience Required

We offer three ER locations, including two off campus ER located in Burleson and White Settlement. Medical City Fort Worth is a designated comprehensive stroke center. We are a Joint Commission chest pain center. We are a part of the Medical City network of hospitals. Patients are ensured access to medical experts and advanced healthcare innovations across the network.
