The Ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Nursing and at least two years of clinical nursing experience. Outpatient and Oncology experience is a plus. Nurse will assist with triaging and will assist in covering and triaging patient, other care team calls and resolve within allotted times. Melanoma and Skin Center Nursing will provide nursing care and teaching to patients undergoing excisions, biopsies and other dermatological procedures. Duties included, but not limited to patient vitals, assessments, medication administration, assisting with procedures, pre op and post teaching, wound care and documentation. Provide coverage to other providers in clinic in the absence of assigned clinical nurse/MA. Late and staggered shifts coverage are required. Other duties as assigned EDUCATION Required: Graduation from an accredited school of professional nursing. Preferred: Bachelor's Degree Nursing. WORK EXPERIENCE Required: None Preferred: Two years of nursing experience. Oncology experience is a plus. LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS Required: Current State of Texas Professional Nursing license (RN). Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification if working in the following department: ASC Post Anesthesia (600761). Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) if working in the following departments: ASC Post Anesthesia (600761) or Pedi - Child & Adolescent Center (113200). Preferred: OCN - Oncology Nurse Certification, Certification in specialty practice. OTHER REQUIREMENTS: All clinical nurses with less than one year of registered nurse (RN) work experience will be required to participate in the Clinical Nurse Residency Program.
