Qualifications

• Current Certificate of Competence as a Registered Nurse (RN) with the College of Nurses of Ontario
• Completion of surgical asepsis and medication administration courses or proof of postgraduate coursework
• Basic cardiac life support certification
• Strong oral and written communication skills with diverse audiences
• Proven problem-solving and critical thinking skills
• Basic computer skills relevant to nursing
• Ability to work collaboratively in a healthcare team
• Knowledge of the College of Nurses standards of practice
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and patient safety
• Familiarity with LEAN principles for continuous improvement
• Demonstrated adherence to hospital attendance standards
• Bilingualism in French and English is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care to patients in accordance with relevant regulations and standards
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient care
• Administer medications and engage in surgical asepsis procedures as required
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues
• Utilize critical thinking and problem-solving skills in patient assessments
• Document care and patient interactions accurately and consistently
