Job Description

This position is eligible for a $8,000 recruitment bonus. Current state employees are not eligible for recruitment payments upon transfer, demotion, or promotion to another agency.

This position performs professional nursing tasks in a clinical role in the management of the nursing care of clients in a correctional facility.
The qualified individual must be a registered nurse with a current State of Iowa license, be certified in CPR, be able to triage, adapt to changing environments, have professional communication skills and be a role model.
A background in mental health would be a benefit, but is not required.

Minimum Qualification Requirements

Licensure as Registered Nurse in the State of Iowa by the Iowa Board of Nursing or licensure as a Registered Nurse in accordance with the Nurse Licensure Compact Administrator's Agreement of the National Council of State Boards of Nursing.

Compact license holders are required to obtain an Iowa license within 60 days.
