Job DescriptionInova Mount Vernon is looking for a full-time PACU Nurse Supervisor. This role also oversees perianesthesia care for electroconvulsive therapy (ECT) and gastroenterology procedure patients.
Schedule- Weekdays (four 10-hour shifts) to cover unit hours 6.30a-5.30p ; minimal on-call responsibilitiesJoin an engaging and passionate perioperative team dedicated to providing exemplary health care every time, every touch. Mount Vernon is a community hospital with 8 OR suites that serves the population in robotics, general, orthopedics, spine, plastics, ENT, urology, and gynecology. PACU Unit Supervisor Qualifications:- One year of nursing experience is required
- Degree from an accredited school of nursing, BSN, or ADN within one year of BSN completion
- RN License to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia
- BLS for Healthcare Provider certification is required from AHA
- Specialty certification (as required by unit) within one year from date of hire.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
PACU Unit Supervisor preferred qualifications:
- RN with at least 2 years of PACU-to include PreOp, phase 1 and 2 recovery
- Prior leadership experience to include charge, supervisory or management
