RN - Hematology / Outpatient InfusionShift Details
- 40 hours per week
- Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm
- No weekends, no holidays, and no on-call responsibilities
Position Overview
- Exciting opportunity to join a community-based oncology practice that is part of a nationally recognized, NCI-designated cancer center
- Small, collaborative practice consisting of an MD, APP, LPN, Ambulatory Tech, and 3 RNs
- Infusion assignment includes a mixture of hematology/oncology, monoclonal antibodies, and non-oncology referral infusions
- Typical infusion assignment covers 8 patients and involves chemotherapy teaching at the chairside
- Maximum daily infusion capacity is 24 patients
Requirements
- 2-3 years of recent infusion experience required; outpatient clinic experience highly desired
- ONS chemotherapy/immunotherapy certification
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
- Experience with Epic EMR and Alaris infusion pumps
- Ability to work independently and manage a full patient assignment with minimal supervision
- Strong IV/vascular access and port access skills
- Excellent communication skills with patients, families, and the oncology care team
- Current, unencumbered NYS RN licensure

- BLS Certification (American Heart Association ONLY)
- Oncology Certification
