Medical Group Practices Nursing Req #: 95526 MaineHealth - Pen Bay Hospital is located in beautiful Rockport, Maine, overlooking the picturesque Maine coastline. Seeking a Registered Nurse to join our Neurology team , a collaborative group of providers, nurses, medical assistants, and support staff dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality care to patients with neurological conditions. Working closely with our neurologists and multidisciplinary team, the RN plays an important role in coordinating and delivering care for patients with a variety of neurological conditions. Responsibilities include patient triage, care coordination, medication and treatment support, patient education, follow-up, and helping patients and families navigate their care throughout the treatment process. Our team values strong communication, collaboration, and continuity of care . Nurses work closely with providers, MA's, and fellow nurses to ensure patients receive timely, coordinated care and have the resources and education they need to manage their neurological health. The Neurology practice is located in the Physicians Building on the Pen Bay campus . The team currently includes five providers. The RN may work at either the Pen Bay or Belfast location as needed . Schedule: Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week, with the specific schedule to be discussed. No weekends. Summary: The MH Registered Nurse - Ambulatory Care role provides high quality care to patients and families calling or presenting for care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, and performs a wide variety of patient care services to assist physicians/advanced practice practitioners in delivering excellent care to patients of the practice. MH RN II: This level is competent in their clinical role and has demonstrated the ability to care for most patients assigned. Though not able to care for every patient type within their area of hire, demonstrates how to obtain the appropriate resources to develop required skills and knowledge over time. This level included automatic advancement after 1 year as a RN I - must be in good standing and meets RN I requirements. Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) 1. Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required; BSN preferred. 2. License/Certifications: Current applicable state(s) license as a Registered Professional Nurse required. Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date. 3. Experience: One year of recent RN experience required. Automatic advancement from RN I level if all onboarding requirements are complete, including the New Grad Residency (where available).
