60-bed Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, you will practice in a dynamic, high-acuity environment where critical thinking and collaboration are essential. As part of a leading academic medical center, you will care for neonates requiring complex medical and surgical interventions.
On a typical day, you will:
- Deliver comprehensive, family-centered nursing care to critically ill neonates across a range of acuity levels
- Perform continuous assessment, monitoring, and intervention for conditions such as prematurity, respiratory distress, congenital anomalies, and post-surgical recovery
- Partner closely with neonatologists, advanced practice providers, respiratory therapists, and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate individualized care plans
- Utilize advanced technologies and evidence-based protocols to support optimal patient outcomes
- Educate and support families through highly emotional and complex care journeys
- Contribute to a fast-paced, highly specialized unit where clinical expertise and adaptability are essential

Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program required. Bachelor of Science in Nursing required within 5 years of hire.
Experience: 1 year of relevant experience.
Licensure: Licensed to Practice as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia. American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Job requires standing for prolonged periods, frequently traveling, bending/stooping. Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull 20 - 50lbs. May be exposed to chemicals, blood/body fluids and infectious disease.
The pay range for this role is $39.90 - $53.00 hourly. Individual compensation will be determined by the selected candidate's qualifications, previous work experience, and/or education.
