Responsibilities The float pool RN supplements unit-based staffing as it relates to facility staffing needs for Med/Surg/Tele. Acts as team member for multiple units while being assigned to one unit per shift. The Float RN does not have a physical home unit and instead reports to the house supervisor and is assigned to a unit.
Essential Job Duties:
Performs initial assessment and documents appropriately for the level of care appropriate to the patient's clinical presentation/diagnosis, care setting, age development level, and cultural and religious orientation in a timely manner. Performs MST initial assessment f care, completely and accurately including, but not limited to, physical (i.e., assessment for pain, skin breakdown, risk for falls), psychological (i.e., cognitive and communicative skills or development), social status and other patient needs.

Qualifications Exhibits flexibility by rotating within the Med Surg Tele units as competent
Minimum of two (2) years MST experience requiredCompletion of an accredited Registered Nurse program
BSN preferred
Registered Nurse with current California RN license
Current BLS, ACLS through AHA required
