Qualifications

  • ADN, BSN, MSN, or CNL from an accredited School of Nursing required; BSN preferred.
  • Minimum of two years recent experience in Labor & Delivery nursing; high-risk delivery center experience is a plus.
  • Active DC RN License is mandatory.
  • Basic Life Support certification for Healthcare providers from AHA or American Red Cross required.
  • C-EFM certification preferred; if not certified, must obtain within first 12 months.

Responsibilities

  • Provide skilled, compassionate care to patients in the Labor & Delivery Unit.
  • Assess patient conditions and identify health concerns throughout the care process.
  • Develop and implement appropriate care plans based on patient assessments.
  • Deliver nursing interventions directly or in collaboration with the nursing team.
  • Support patients and families through a variety of care needs from routine to complex.

Key Responsibilities

As a Clinical Nurse on the Labor & Delivery Unit, you will provide skilled, compassionate care to patients and families across a spectrum of needs-from routine to highly complex. You will assess evolving patient conditions, identify actual and potential health concerns, and develop appropriate care plans. Interventions may be delivered directly or coordinated through collaboration with other members of the nursing team.

Qualifications
  • ADN, BSN, MSN, or CNL from an accredited School of Nursing required. BSN preferred.
  • At least two years of recent, hospital-based Labor & Delivery Clinical Nursing (RN) Experience required. High risk delivery center experience preferred.
  • Active DC RN License and Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers required (AHA or American Red Cross).
  • C-EFM - Electronic Fetal Monitoring from the National Certification Corporation (NCC) preferred; if not already certified, certification is required within 12 months from date of hire.

This position has a hiring range of

USD $42.00 - USD $69.42 /Hr.
