JOB DESCRIPTION

Registered Nurse (RN) ICU - Nights

Schedule: 12-hour shift for full-time requiring 36 hours/week with every other weekend

7P-7A

Job Location Type: In Person

How you’ll contribute

A Registered Nurse (RN) who excels in this role:

  • Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care activities.
  • Documents patient care provided.
  • Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to the care team, physician, patient, and family.
  • Assists patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
  • Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and psychosocial/spiritual support needs.
  • Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
  • Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
  • Participates in performance improvement and continuing education.
  • Provides quality patient care and works flexible shifts or units as needed.

The right person who will provide direct patient care to patients using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.

Applicants should have a current RN VA or compact state license.  Associate’s degree in nursing required.

Hourly range - $33.19 - $44.81
