Registered Nurse to join our Special Care Department. Reporting to the Nursing Manager, you'll use the full nursing process assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to deliver safe, high-quality care to patients and their families. This is more than a role; it's a chance to be the steady hand, the calm voice, and the advocate patients need most.
What You'll Do- Deliver safe, evidence-based care tailored to patients of all ages in the Special Care Unit.
- Create, implement, and adjust individualized plans of care for patients and their families.
- Supervise, mentor, and delegate responsibilities to support staff, ensuring excellent team-based care.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary partners to achieve the best outcomes.
- Educate patients and families, empowering them to understand and participate in their care.
- Document care plans and patient progress clearly and accurately.
- Stay current with continuing education, safety protocols, and professional competencies.
- Support staff development through preceptorship and mentoring.
- Actively contribute to unit and hospital projects focused on improving patient care.
What You Bring- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Current Massachusetts RN license.
- BLS certification required.
- ACLS certification required within 90 days of hire for experienced RNs; within 6 months for new grads.
- Medical/Surgical and ICU/CCU experience preferred.
- Strong clinical judgment, assessment, and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
- Comfort with computers and a commitment to patient confidentiality.
