Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency DepartmentWhere You Will Work:The Steele Creek Emergency Department features a well-designed layout to support efficient, high-quality patient care, including 12 major medical beds with both an adult-specific resuscitation room and a dedicated pediatric resuscitation room. In addition, the unit offers 8 rapid medical evaluation/minor care beds to support lower-acuity patients, along with 4 triage bays to facilitate timely patient assessment and flow. This structure allows the team to effectively manage a wide range of patient acuity levels in a fast-paced, supportive environment.
We're Looking For:- Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
- Candidates must have at least 6 months of RN experience, this position is not for new graduates
- Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
- ACLS required within 6 months of hire
- 1 year of inpatient RN experience preferred
What You'll Do:- As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
- Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
About This Location: Atrium Health Steele Creek Emergency Department, Atrium Health's first freestanding emergency department located in Charlotte, NC -15 to 20 minutes from Uptown and two miles from the North Carolina/South Carolina state line. We see roughly 41,000 annually including adults and children of all ages. Our team is made up of top-notch Nurses, Healthcare Techs, Paramedics, Respiratory Therapists and Providers including Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners.
