Responsibilities

  • Perform performance improvement studies and assist with implementation of initiatives.
  • Serve as a resource for staff and external contacts regarding patient care.
  • Monitor departmental compliance with accreditation and legal requirements.
  • Coordinate staff scheduling, educational activities, and performance evaluations.
  • Provide patient education related to Labor and Delivery needs.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Registered Nurse (RN) OB, Director

Job Type: Full-Time | 1.0 FTE or 80 hours/pp

Schedule: M-F, 8-hour Day Shifts | Salary/Exempt

$5,000 Sign-on Bonus to qualified applicants

How youll contribute

AnOB RN Director who excels in this role:

  • Provides and coordinates care of the OB patient using nursing process.
  • Identifies and resolves issues affecting the delivery of clinical services.
  • Performs performance improvement studies and assists with implementation of PI initiatives.
  • Serves as a resource to staff and external contacts on issues related to patient care, patient flow and clinical standards, policies and procedures.
  • Monitors departmental compliance with applicable requirements, including accreditation, legal, and The Joint Commission.
  • Coordinates staff scheduling, educational/development activities, and performance evaluations.
  • Provides and coordinates patient educational needs, specifically to Labor and Delivery.
  • Performs other job duties as assigned

What were looking for

Applicants should have a current Michigan RN license and possess an associates degree from an accredited nursing school (bachelors preferred).

Additional requirements include:

  • Basic Life Support Health Care Provider (BLS-HCP)
