Overview

Join our team as a day shift, full-time, Day Surgery (OR) Registered Nurse in Westwood, NJ.

Responsibilities

  • This Registered Nurse (RN) is a specialized ambulatory care nurse, defined as a nurse who provides episodic care to patients for 24 hours or less in many different settings.
  • The RN cares for patients before and after same-day surgery and some patients undergoing outpatient procedures.
  • They also use cost-effective ways to assist patients in promoting health, preventing disease, and managing chronic or acute health problems.
  • Finally, the RN promotes self-management and assists family members or friends in caring for their loved ones.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing.
  • 1+ years' experience working as a Medical Surgical Nurse.
  • New Jersey RN license.
  • BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
  • Pediatric advanced life support (PALS) certification.

Preferred Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree of Science in Nursing.

Rate of pay is determined based on experience and education and may include other pay components such as differentials and call pay based on role.
