Registered Nurse (RN) – Behavioral Health Intake Unit APH

Where You Will Work:
Come join our team at Aurora Psychiatric Hospital in the Intake/CallCenter
- Help Facilitate Internal Aurora Transfers telephonically
- Help Facilitate Non-Aurora Transfers telephonically, assessing documentation, MD triage, taking and entering orders
- Will perform Tele Intake (telephonic or Video) assessments for patients in the ER that have a Behavioral Health Consult. Triage with appropriate on Call MD, along with taking and entering orders.
- Take Triage calls telephonically for patients looking for inpatient to see if medical clearance is needed prior to the patient arriving to the hospital for an assessment.
- On occasion preforming assessments for outpatient programs and triaging that assessment with the MD for recommended level of are and scheduling the patient for program
We’re Looking For:
- Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
- Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
What You’ll Do:
- As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
- Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
