Where You Will Work:
Atrium Health Levine Children's Pediatric Rheumatology Clinic, Levine Children's Specialty Center is a comprehensive pediatric outpatient specialty practice providing care across multiple pediatric specialties including rheumatology, genetics, nephrology, infectious disease, gastroenterology, complex care, palliative endocrinology, pulmonology, and rehabilitation services. Care is delivered through an interdisciplinary team of physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, social workers, dietitians, pharmacists, and support staff dedicated to improving outcomes for children and families.

What We're Looking For:
  • Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
  • Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN);
  • BSN (preferred)
  • One year of experience
  • BLS


What You'll Do:
  • Provides nursing care for pediatric patients during specialty clinic visits.
  • Performs patient assessments and collaborates with providers to develop and implement individualized plans of care.
  • Conducts telephone triage and clinical assessment for symptom management, medication questions, disease flares, and treatment-related concerns.
  • Coordinates care among patients, families, providers, pharmacies, infusion centers, primary care providers, therapists, schools, and community resources.
  • Provides disease-specific education to patients and caregivers regarding diagnoses, medications, treatment plans, laboratory monitoring, and self-management strategies.
  • Assists with medication administration, vaccine administration, laboratory specimen collection, and other clinical procedures as appropriate.
  • Assists providers during joint injection procedures and other specialty-specific treatments.
  • Facilitates referrals, authorizations, medication renewals, laboratory follow-up, and coordination of specialty services.
  • Documents patient encounters, assessments, interventions, and communications within the electronic medical record.
