Registered Nurse (RN)- Psychiatric,

Tridant Solutions Inc. is currently looking for a Registered Nurse- Psychiatric

to service in the Natick, Massachusetts area.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The role of a Registered Psychiatric Nurse involves delivering specialized nursing care to patients with emotional and/or mental health issues for the Behavioral Health and Recovery Services department. The job also requires working in collaboration with clinical and case management personnel to facilitate patient care and support treatment plans, along with carrying out additional tasks related to the role.

DUTIES
  • Conduct intake assessments through interviews with patients and relatives to gather case history.
  • Plans and provides nursing care for patients.
  • Makes nursing diagnosis of the medical and emotional status of patients and recommends treatment options.
  • Consult with psychiatrists and other behavioral health staff in designing appropriate treatment plans for clients.
  • Administers and notes reactions to psychotropic drugs and other medications.
  • Arrange further medical attention when necessary.
  • Assists the client in understanding the nature of emotional disturbances and accepting the need for treatment.
  • Assists in maintaining a safe and secure environment for staff and patients.
  • Test for vital signs of pain and ensure treatments of pain.
  • Documents all patient information on medical charts and follows physician's written orders.
  • Maintains patient confidentiality.
  • Maintains accurate records and documentation of patient treatments, immunizations, and laboratory results according to standard medical recordkeeping.
  • Performs administrative assignments such as filing, answering phones, typing, and completing progress notes in the computer system.
  • Provides courteous, high-quality service to patients and members of the public by personally responding to requests for service or making appropriate referrals.
  • And other duties as required.


EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

  • National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX-RN) certification
  • A valid nursing certificate, BSN, or MSN degree from an accredited college or university.
  • A valid unencumbered RN license for this State.
  • A valid unencumbered MA license for this State.
  • Current vaccinations and health clearance certification.
  • Excellent knowledge of aseptic and sterile techniques.
  • BLS certification.
  • Must have previous experience with starting IVs.
  • Must have at least 1-10 years of recent and relevant consecutive acute care experience in a hospital setting in this specialty.
  • High-level interpersonal skills and the ability to connect with patients during stressful experiences.
  • Strong organizational abilities and good communication skills
  • The appropriate license to work in their state/county.
  • Fluent in English.

HOURS OF OPERATION
  • Hours: Full-Time
  • Overtime Eligible as needed.


COMPENSATION
  • 61,000-132,000 USD Annually
