Full Job Description
Are you ready to blend expert clinical care with impactful healthcare leadership? As an Advanced Clinical Nurse, you will deliver high-quality, age-specific care while driving clinical excellence. Reporting to the Nurse Manager or Executive DON, you will serve as a patient advocate, mentor, and clinical champion in our diverse ambulatory environment.

What You Will Do
  • Deliver Expert Care: Perform comprehensive assessments, manage medication administration, and develop personalized care plans.
  • Lead and Mentors: Indirectly supervise ancillary staff and foster a collaborative, team-oriented workspace.
  • Advocate for Patients: Act as a dedicated educator and champion for patient needs and health literacy.
  • Drive Excellence: Champion quality improvement initiatives to advance nursing practice and optimize patient outcomes.
  • Manage Operations: Maintain precise documentation and ensure strict compliance with Valleywise Health policies.

Hourly Pay Rate: $35.52 - $52.39

The night shift pay differential will be paid at 18% of the employee's base rate of pay. The weekend shift pay differential will be paid at 8% of the employee's base rate of pay.

Qualifications

Education:
  • Requires a Bachelor's Degree or higher in Nursing.

Experience:
  • Must have at least one (1) year of recent acute care hospital RN experience that demonstrates an understanding of the required knowledge, skills and abilities; or if completed the New Grad RN program at Valleywise Health then must have at least one (1) year of Valleywise Health experience as a RN and be in good standing.

Certification/Licensure:
  • Must possess a current, valid AZ RN license, temporary AZ RN license, or valid compact RN licensure for current state of practice.
  • Must be in good standing with the issuing Board of Nursing.
  • Requires a BLS card obtained through an American Heart Association (AHA) training center upon hire.
  • In addition, certification or continuing education may be required based on area of practice:
    • PreOp/PACU (Other than Peoria): Must obtain ACLS and PALS within ninety (90) days of hire or transfer. Must obtain TCAR and PCAR within ninety (90) days of hire or transfer.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Ability to work with culturally diverse people is a must.
  • Bilingual is preferred.
  • Must have excellent communication, time management and customer service skills.
  • Requires basic computer word processing skills (e.g. formatting, editing, printing, composing email, internet searches, etc.) to be able to successfully navigate through an electronic medical record using a computer.
  • Requires the ability to read, write and speak effectively in English.
