Qualifications

• Associate's degree in nursing from an accredited program or Bachelor's degree in nursing from an accredited program
• Valid Arizona state RN License or multistate license acceptable in AZ
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
• ASPAN certification preferred
• Completion of APEX training within 90 days of hire, and annually thereafter
• Completion of the NIH stroke scale within 90 days of hire, and annually thereafter
• EKG Exam at the time of hire

Responsibilities

• Promote patient health through comprehensive nursing assessments
• Plan and implement care for patients recovering from anesthesia
• Evaluate patient outcomes to ensure effective recovery
• Address cultural needs of diverse patient populations
• Manage pre- and post-operative care in the PACU/ASU
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient recovery
• Educate patients and families about post-operative care
