Qualifications

• 4-7 years of perioperative nursing experience in various surgical specialties and/or anesthesia required.
• Basic knowledge of common computer applications needed.
• Graduation from an accredited nursing school or diploma program required; BSN needed for new hires post-2012 within required timeframe.
• BLS certification required; FL RN License essential.
• Preferred: Certification in nursing specialty area and ACLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Assess and coordinate anesthesia-related patient care activities.
• Delegate tasks within the anesthesia team responsibly.
• Implement anesthesia standards and protocols in perioperative settings.
• Evaluate patient responses to anesthesia and intervene as necessary.
• Serve as a resource for various departments including Perioperative Services and Labor and Delivery.
• Attend and contribute to Anesthesia Department meetings.
