Full Job Description
Ohel is looking for a caring, compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team in a full time role supporting adults with developmental and/or intellectual disabilities in a residential setting in Brooklyn. As an important member of our multidisciplinary team, you'll play a key role in promoting the health, well-being, and quality of life of the individuals we serve. You'll work closely with residents, physicians and other healthcare providers, residential and day program staff, and family members to ensure coordinated, person-centered care.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and coordinate medical care for individuals living in our residential program
  • Monitor each individual's health and well-being through ongoing assessment and follow-up
  • Collaborate with medical providers, residential staff, day program staff, and families to support continuity of care
  • Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation
  • Provide health-related training and guidance to residential staff
  • Help develop and implement medical policies and best practices within the program


Requirements:

  • A current New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Strong clinical assessment and communication skills
  • At least two years of post-graduate hospital experience (preferred)
  • Experience working with individuals with developmental and/or intellectual disabilities is a plus
