Qualifications

• Current certificate of Competence for College of Nurses
• Current BCLS certification
• NRP certification required within six months
• ACoRN certification required or willingness to obtain
• PALS certification preferred
• Certified to start IVs and administer IV medications, including Central Venous Access Devices
• Demonstrated assessment and nursing skills in antepartum, labor, delivery, postpartum, and newborn care
• Surgical and complex continuing care experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the OBS/Surgical Inpatient unit
• Perform thorough patient assessments and document findings accurately
• Assist in labor and delivery processes and provide postpartum care
• Educate patients and families on health management and care processes
• Collaborate effectively with the healthcare team to ensure coordinated care
• Support breastfeeding initiatives as a patient advocate
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies and safety standards
