Schedule: 2:00PM-10:30PM Thursday-Monday (Tues/Wed off)
Registered Nurse 2:
Monthly Salary Range: $7,832.00-$12,839.00
Hourly Salary Range: $45.01-$73.79

Registered Nurses will receive shift differential in the amount of two dollars and fifty cents ($2.50) per hour for evening shift and night shift work. Employees may also qualify for one or both of these supplemental shift premiums in addition to the above.
- A. One dollar ($1.00) per hour during any hours assigned to work from 11:00 p.m. until 7:00 a.m.
- B. Three dollars ($3.00) per hour during any hours worked from Friday midnight to Sunday midnight.

Monroe Correctional Complex is one of our larger facilities handing a patient population with many diverse health care needs. Monroe Correctional Complex is our only facility that takes care of dialysis patients in house.
  • 26 beds in patient unit
  • Treatment of chronic disease such as HEP C, diabetes, hypertension, cancer, Alzheimer dementia and COPD
  • The Outpatient clinic sees 15-20 patients per day


Duties
Some of what our RNs do:
  • The registered nurse delivers services which promote health, foster healing, and support coping and adjustment to various health conditions.
  • Screening, assessing, and evaluating incarcerated individuals and their conditions
  • Responding to all other requests for health care attention in a complete, timely, clinically appropriate and therapeutic manner;
  • Delegating and supervising work, monitoring, managing, coordinating, and delivering health care;
  • Planning transition, making referrals and arranging follow-up when patients transfer or return to the community;
  • Assisting patients to improve their skill and ability to provide care for themselves and their family ;
  • Counseling, consulting, teaching, advising, and providing health information that improves quality of health services and/or enhances safety and security.


On-Call Nurses:
  • Be available to work all shifts (day, swing and graveyard) including weekends and holidays.
  • Be willing to work a minimum of 10 shifts a month.
  • Provide written availability by the 10th of each month for the following month's coverage.
  • Be willing to complete a paid three-week correctional worker core training M-F from 8 to 4:30 pm.

Qualifications

  • Initial and continuous unencumbered licensure in the State of Washington as a Registered Nurse
OR
  • An unencumbered Multistate License from a participating Compact Licensure State as outlined by the Nurse Licensure Compact and Department of Health with completion of Suicide Prevention, EDIR training, and MLS demographic survey.
AND
  • One (1) year expierence working as a Registered Nurse
  • Training by the American Heart Association in Healthcare Provider CPR.
  • Proficient using computer-based programs to schedule, monitor and track patient information, perform data entry and word processing, and communicate via email, as well as other programs that may be needed to complete assigned work.
  • Ability to work independently and with limited supervision.

  • Must be able to work in spaces, climb stairs, walk long distances, and frequently lift up to 30 pounds. Under rare circumstances this position may be required to lift or carry up to 50 pounds and push up to 100 pounds.
