How you'll make an impact in this role- Oversee the daily clinical and administrative operations of the Cardiac Catheterization Lab, ensuring 24/7 readiness for emergency interventional procedures, including STEMI activations and traumatic vascular repairs within a high-volume Level 2 trauma setting.
- Lead a diverse team of Registered Nurses, Radiologic Technologists, and Cardiovascular Technicians; manage specialized staffing models, on-call rotations, and continuous professional development to ensure high-performance during complex, life-saving interventions..
- Direct unit-based quality improvement initiatives and ensure strict adherence to ACC/AHA clinical guidelines, NCDR registry reporting, and Joint Commission standards, while maintaining a sterile, high-safety environment for invasive cardiac and peripheral procedures.
- Manage the departmental budget, including high-cost capital equipment and specialized inventory (stents, balloons, pacemakers); collaborate with supply chain and physicians to evaluate new technologies and optimize cost-per-case metrics without compromising patient outcomes.
What minimum requirements you'll needLicensure / Certification / Registration:
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
Education:
- Required professional licensure/certification AND 3 years of experience and 1 year of cumulative leadership experience required.
