Full Job Description
Sinai Hospital's Neuroscience Unit is a 36-bed telemetry unit caring for neurology and neurosurgery patients, including traumatic brain injury (TBI), stroke, seizure, and epilepsy cases.

Staff work alongside specialists across neurology, neurosurgery, and stroke care in one connected institute.

Sinai Hospital is a Thrombectomy-Capable Stroke Center, certified by The Joint Commission and MIEMSS, and was the first hospital in Maryland to earn that designation. Sinai has received the highest stroke care award possible from the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association every year since 2008.

Sinai Hospital's Comprehensive Epilepsy Center, offers both medical and surgical treatment for epilepsy, including a dedicated Epilepsy Monitoring Unit that uses continuous video EEG to diagnose and guide care. The team includes fellowship-trained epileptologists and provides neuropsychological and psychosocial assessment as part of whole-person care.

Summary:
Under the direction of the unit manager, this role provides direct clinical patient care. The role will assume responsibility for assessing, planning, implementing direct age-appropriate clinical care to assigned patients on a per shift basis, and unit level. The role is responsible for supervision of staff to which appropriate care is delegated. The role is accountable to support CNO to ensure high quality, safe and appropriate nursing care, competency of clinical staff, and appropriate resource management related to patient care.
