RN - Endoscopy / GI (Level 3) | New YorkShift Details
- Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM
- On-call required for overnights and weekends
- 5 8-hour shifts OR 4 10-hour shifts
Job Duties
- Answering patient questions and addressing their concerns
- Observing patient vital signs
- Sedating patients before procedures
- Recovering patients after procedures
- Administering the necessary medication to patients
- Completing all necessary documentation including patient notes and discharge documents
- Preparing the instruments, equipment, and supplies for the procedure
- Cleaning and sterilizing equipment before use
- Providing assistance to physicians throughout the procedure
- Administering IV drips
Requirements
- New York State RN License (NY license only)
- BLS Certification - American Heart Association only
- ACLS Certification - American Heart Association only
- Minimum 2 years of previous endoscopy procedure experience
- Telemetry monitoring and rhythm identification required
- Conscious sedation experience required
- Expert IV insertion required
- Experience recovering patients from general anesthesia required
- Experience performing intake for GI procedures required
