Qualifications

• Current RN registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario in good standing
• 3-6 months of medical/surgical experience; training provided
• Emergency experience preferred, ICU experience beneficial
• Valid BCLS certification required upon hire
• Preferred completion of Coronary Care I & II within one year
• ACLS completion required within six months of hire
• Required completion of TNCC, PALS, or ENPC within one year
• Strong physical assessment, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Critical thinking and teamwork ability essential
• Discipline-free attendance record required
• Understanding of equity, diversity, and inclusion principles in healthcare is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing duties in an Emergency Department setting
• Assess and monitor patients' health status
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide optimal care
• Educate and support patients and families on health practices
• Document and communicate patient care information
• Participate in shift changes and team meetings
• Uphold hospital policies and procedures efficiently.
