Full Job Description
Registered Nurse (RN)to join our team at our program in Norfolk, VA.
  • Starting rate of $46.22 hour with full benefits or $48.22 per hour with the enhanced pay option + mileage reimbursement
  • Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM, plus rotating on-call coverage on consecutive days and weekend community coverage.

The Registered Nurse (RN) is a vital member of the Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) team, delivering recovery-oriented, person-centered care to individuals with serious mental illness in the community. This role blends clinical skill, crisis response, and collaboration to support clients in achieving stability, independence, and improved quality of life.
  • Provide recovery-based, person-centered nursing care through individual and group interventions supporting mental health, daily living skills, and community functioning.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments, monitor symptoms and treatment response, and collaborate on individualized treatment planning with the interdisciplinary team.
  • Deliver medication education, monitoring, and administration while addressing clients' physical health needs.
  • Support crisis intervention efforts and provide real-time clinical guidance in community-based settings.
  • Coordinate care with psychiatrists, families, and community agencies while serving as a client advocate and liaison.
