How you'll make an impact in this role- Act as a trusted advisor to our physicians and advanced practice providers, proactively connecting with them to clarify details and capture the full scope of patient care.
- Conduct thorough admission reviews and collaborate directly with our coding experts to ensure assigned codes perfectly reflect the patient's real-time clinical status.
- Work hand-in-hand with the broader healthcare team to resolve documentation queries and address gaps before the patient is discharged.
- Serve as an ongoing subject matter expert, coaching and educating our clinical teams on documentation best practices, coding nuances, and quality improvement opportunities.
- Maintain clear, accurate records of your review activities to validate the success and impact of our CDI initiatives, helping us continuously improve our processes.
What minimum requirements you'll needLicensure / Certification / Registration:
- Registered Nurse credentialed from the Florida Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job
transfer date. Licensed as a Registered Nurse in Florida. Credentialed from State Board of Nursing or current home state license for multi-state license recognition "Compact State" obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
Education:
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of
hire.
What additional preferences we're seeking- Minimum 1 year of NICU experience.
- CDI experience.
